This maximalist Jewish deli formally debuted its downtown DC location final week—and it’s already drawing out-the-door strains. The massive menu contains six knishes; latkes; smoked fish platters; bagels which might be boiled and baked on website; and sandwiches named after Larry David and Steven Spielberg.

Le Diplomate proprietor Stephen Starr and Los Angeles chef Nancy Silvertown teamed as much as open a Georgetown spinoff of her hit LA Italian restaurant.
